How the method works

Fish that attach individual eggs or small groups of eggs to glass, plants, wood, mops or other surfaces.

Practical breeding setup

Provide clean attachment surfaces and decide whether eggs will stay with the adults, be moved, or be protected in place. Avoid rough handling and large chemistry changes.

Egg and fry management

Incubation depends heavily on temperature, oxygen and cleanliness. Newly hatched fry may need very small first foods.

Main failure point

Fungus, infertile eggs, accidental drying and parental egg predation are the common problems.
