What AquaNexus protects
Unless a page says otherwise, copyright in original AquaNexus text, photographs, illustrations, diagrams, website code, and the original selection and arrangement of information is owned by the AquaNexus website operator.
What you may do
- Link to any public AquaNexus page.
- Quote a brief extract for genuine criticism, review, reporting or discussion when AquaNexus is clearly credited and the original page is linked.
- Use facts you independently verify and express in your own original wording. AquaNexus does not claim ownership of scientific names, biological facts or general aquarium knowledge.
What requires written permission
You may not reproduce full guides, republish substantial extracts, copy the website design, sell or distribute AquaNexus content, mirror the fish database, bulk-download or scrape the library, remove attribution, or use AquaNexus material to build a competing content database or model without written permission, except where applicable law permits the use.
Third-party material
Third-party material remains subject to its own owner and licence. A credit line is not permission. AquaNexus only uses third-party material when the licence allows the intended commercial use or separate permission has been obtained. Third-party names and trade marks are used only for identification, remain the property of their respective owners, and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Permission requests
Contact AquaNexus through the website and identify the exact page, material, intended use, audience, format and duration. Permission is not granted until it is confirmed in writing.
