People-first, original work

AquaNexus publishes pages to help aquarium keepers make better decisions—not to fill search results with repetitive content. Every guide, profile and project page must provide a clear purpose, original explanation and practical value.

A citation identifies supporting evidence; it is not permission to copy another creator's expression.

Source wording, photographs, drawings, diagrams, tables and distinctive structure are not reproduced or lightly rewritten. When suitable reuse permission is unavailable, AquaNexus creates an original explanation or leaves the material out.

Sources and evidence

Sources are selected according to the question being answered. Primary research, official agencies, recognised institutions, qualified veterinary guidance and manufacturers' own technical specifications are preferred where appropriate. Conflicting evidence and important uncertainty are not hidden.

Personal aquarium experience may add practical context, but it is labelled as experience rather than presented as universal proof.

Commercial-use licensing

AquaNexus is connected to a commercial app and treats website publishing as a commercial context. Material restricted to non-commercial use, including CC BY-NC content, is not republished unless separate commercial permission has been obtained.

• Attribution does not remove a non-commercial restriction.
• Image and media rights are checked individually.
• Original AquaNexus media and diagrams are preferred.
• Unclear licence terms mean the material is not reused.

FishBase restriction

FishBase may be used as a research-discovery lead, but AquaNexus does not reproduce or adapt FishBase text, numbers, tables, maps, screenshots, photographs, drawings or database entries. Published information is independently checked and written from a blank page using sources suitable for a commercial context.

AI-assisted work

AI may assist with outlining, editing, consistency checks and draft preparation. AI is not treated as a source. Every published page remains subject to human review for accuracy, originality, safety and usefulness. Automated filler and mass-produced near-duplicate pages are not acceptable.

Field Notes, measurements and project claims

AquaNexus Field Notes distinguish current practice, historical snapshots, targets, prototypes and measured results. A target is never presented as achieved, and a build plan is not described as tested until the test and outcome have been recorded.

Animal health, safety and legal limits

Animal welfare takes priority over convenience or page views. Fish-health information does not replace an aquatic veterinarian. DIY and equipment guidance must identify meaningful electrical, structural, chemical and water-damage risks and direct readers to qualified professionals where required.

Biosecurity and legal information can change and may differ by location. Readers should confirm current official requirements before importing, possessing, selling, moving or releasing an organism.

Publication dates and review dates

A date is updated only when content has been meaningfully checked or improved. Cosmetic changes do not justify presenting a page as newly reviewed.

Corrections and feedback

Factual, licensing and safety concerns are reviewed seriously. Material errors are corrected promptly, and related content is checked when the same issue may affect more than one page. Readers can report a concern through the website feedback form.

Copyright concerns

Rights holders can contact AquaNexus through the website feedback form with the page address, the material concerned, evidence of ownership and the requested action. Genuine concerns will be reviewed and addressed appropriately.
